Founded in 1937 in Germany, Volkswagen actually translates to “people's car”. The company aimed to produce affordable cars for the masses. Volkswagen has come a long way from being the manufacturer of spartan Beetles of the 1960s to today's set of sporty hatchbacks, sensible sedans, and useful SUVs.

With over 85 years of history, Volkswagen succeeds because it delivers what European car buyers prioritize: solid build quality, refined driving dynamics, and efficient engines. The company revolutionized the automotive industry with platforms that could be shared across multiple models and brands.

The Golf hatchback exemplifies Volkswagen's approach to vehicle design. Since its introduction in 1974, it has set the benchmark for the compact car segment with its blend of practicality, quality, and driving pleasure. The Golf R model has a more powerful 315-hp turbo-four and an all-wheel-drive system with a drift mode. The model R is a hotter hatch than the Golf GTI in part because of bigger brakes and acceleration second quicker.

The Tiguan is one of the popular compact crossovers. Among compact crossovers, the Volkswagen Tiguan is the only one that offers a distinctly European flavor, with crisp handling and elegantly tailored styling. The only engine choice is a smooth, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and while performance is merely adequate, it does deliver on fuel efficiency.

The Atlas remains Volkswagen’s largest SUV in its current lineup. The Atlas and its cousin, the Atlas Cross Sport, give consumers what they loved in the Tiguan and Touareg, with a bit of modern styling.

With a strong emphasis on quality and reliability, Volkswagen vehicles are built to last. The brand's extensive dealer network and comprehensive after-sales service ensure that owners receive the support they need throughout their vehicle's lifespan.
